A figa is a talisman of protection in the shape of a fist with the thumb extended between the index and middle finger. Originating in Brazil, the figa found its way to Victorian England and experienced great popularity worn as a pendant or a brooch. This vintage figa is carved from carved coral and mounted in 9k gold.
