Edwardian Heart Padlock Necklace
Sold!

The heart-shaped padlock clasp was exceedingly popular in the late 19th century and into the Edwardian era. This 15k gold heart is particularly pretty example of the style, which was primarily used as a closure on sweetheart bracelets. The face is engraved with feathery swirls and the reverse is stamped with crisp hallmarks for Chester and the year 1907. We've added an 18" gold chain to make this pristine antique clasp into a wearable necklace.
