Carnelian is a workhorse. It's not particularly rare, so isn't considered a "precious" gemstone. But it grows big and can be carved into all kinds of insane shapes, including a hollow vessel like this one. I don't fully believe the magical powers of stones TBH, but someone once told me that you shouldn't wear carnelian next to your skin "unless you want to get pregnant". Apparently, it enhances fertility. The name is derived from the Latin word caro, carnis ("flesh"), so that tracks. Add your own (aphrodesiac?) scent.
