Georgian Table Cut Diamond Cluster Ring

THE TABLE CUT was the first major diamond faceting technique. It has a flat top and four simple facets on the sides. The way to make it: grind off one of the points of the diamond. Here, in a typical early 1800s setting (silver, split shoulders, dished and closed back) 7 table cut diamonds are arranged with 4 rose cut diamonds in a turtle-shell shape.

    14k gold (tests), silver, 7 table cut diamonds (center 4.6mm x 3.4mm), sides approximately 2.5mm x 2.2mm, 4 2.7mm rose cut diamonds
