This ring’s hallmarks tell us it was made in 1878 in Birmingham, a hub of jewelry production and innovation in the Victorian era. The city supported over 700 workshops at that time which produced a LOT of on-trend accessories to the English middle and upper classes. Two serpents encircle a bloodstone oval; they have wonderfully carved scales and their heads are softly rubbed from years of loving wear.
