Victorian En Tremblant Diamond & Pearl Acorn Necklace

$1,450

Sold!

The acorn (which grows into a mighty oak) symbolized new beginnings, potential, and prosperity in the 19th century. It was often used in jewelry for young people or newlyweds as a blessing for future success. But the leaves of the oak were a powerful symbol, too: these leaves in jewelry were often given as gifts to represent steadfastness in love, friendship, or personal character. Here, the "acorn" is a baroque pearl and the leaves are studded with 23 rose cut diamonds.
