Victorian Gold Wishbone Necklace

$1,500

Sold!

The ancient Etruscans believed birds - particularly chickens - were oracles that could predict the future. They practiced a form of divination called “ornithomancy,” which involved interpreting the behavior and flight patterns of birds. The belief in the wishbone's luck-bringing power is rooted in these ancient superstitions. This late Victorian wishbone was once a brooch, we've removed the pin and added a chain to make it a necklace.
