Victorian Heart Padlock Book Chain Bracelet

$2,100

Sold!

The surface decoration on this gold bracelet shows you what was going on technologically in the jewelry world in 1850. The star pattern on the chain's links is machine-stamped: proof that the Industrial Revolution had permeated the goldsmithing industry. The masterful hand-engraving on the heart-shaped padlock lets us know that no machine can reproduce an artist's experienced handiwork.
