Victorian Pearl & Paste Flower Earrings

These modest Civil war era earrings required a lot of labor to make. The seed pearls were strung and sewn onto pierced mother-of-pearl bases. Miraculously, they've remained together and in their original leatherette box.

    base metal ear wires, strung seed pearls, mother of pearl base plates, green paste

    c. 1860

  • Condition

    Very good - the epoxy used to secure the strung pearls has yellowed a bit in some places
